You have a sport that is the top play sport from pre-teens through the teen years, then a huge drop off after that. It’s the only sport where you see such a drop off.

What americans need to see is a United States powerhouse in the World Cup. We’ll have to wait another four years to see if that is the case, til then, you can expect the MLS soccer league to drift downwards in attendance and in revenue. The support and energy levels needed to bring soccer to the next level unfortunately is not there in the United States
