Various Types of Popular Extreme Sport Games

Extreme Sports events, especially since 1998, have attracted record crowds and participation all over the world, and some have linked this change in attitude on the Generation Y, who are also known as Echo Boomers.  

Generation Y is basically referred to the 700 million and more young people who were born in the 1980s and early 1990s, who are known for taking extreme risks and authority, and their behavior has been the center of some major research by researchers in different companies and governments worldwide.  

Extreme Sports are known for their risk factor, and this is what that has made them even more popular. Extreme Sports are known to allow the participants and even the viewers a few moments of escape from reality and relentless supervision. This is how it has managed to become a magnet for the Generation Y, and according to studies, their popularity is not going to fade for a long time to come.  

Paintball is one of the most famous extreme sports kind and has been one of the favorite pastimes for many youngsters world over. It is based on individual efforts, and involves the creation of battle fields in which players hit each other after hunting and dodging them with paintballs using paint filled markers.  

Kite boarding has been one of the controversial of all extreme sports and has been banned by several beach authorities. It is one of the most exciting versions of Surfing, in which a person rides a surfboard with a large parachute attached and involves extreme speeds and death defying stunts that are performed on the waves. In 2008, a surfer broke the 50 knots per hour barrier in France.  

Base Jumping is a modified version of Bungee Jumping in which an individual jumps from fixed objects with the help of a parachute. The base jump could be any object, including a tall building, a mountain top or an antenna. Again, this is one of the most dangerous amongst all extreme sports, and even the slightest error can cause death.  

Extreme Skating, or inline skating is similar to skate boarding involving the performance of tricky stunts. Even though it has developed its own sporting genre after being removed from the extreme sport games list, it is one of the most popular sports.  

There are many other various forms of extreme sports, which allow individuals to defy gravity while risking their lives, which humanity has been enjoying since the Ancient Times.
