The Masters Better Thank Tiger Woods
After all, you will have eyes on The Masters that have never seen golf before. There are so many great undertone stories to this entire Tiger Woods affair story. My personal favorite is how people actually want to see Tiger Woods succeed and win. There a couple ways of looking at this, but ultimately it comes down to forgiveness, acceptance, and finally cheering for a man to turn it around
The story that might never be fully told is what so many americans what to hear, the juicy details that might never get fully out. After all, each “mistress” that came out fueled the media fire. More and more people wanting to hear about Tiger Woods. Now, we fast forward from November to the Masters in a week.
What will people be watching for? It wont be how Tiger is doing in the event, but more what ELSE will happen at the event. Will fans heckle him, if so in what fashion? How will Tiger react to all this? Will his lose concentration and energy in the game? Will he smile at all? These are all things to be determined. What I can tell you though, if the event is a nail biter to the very end, we will all be routing for Tiger.
I want to see Tiger:
- do his patented fist pump on the last hole….
- scream as if he wants the world to hear him let it out
- ultimately get his Tiger swagger back, no one wants to see a fallen champion
Or we can forget all that, and you can go out and find your own discreet partner
MLB Opening Day… Can You Feel IT !?!?!?!?
I love the start of baseball season, the one time of year when all teams are created equal (at least its the way I feel about the NY Mets). As for fantasy baseball, everyone feels they have a stellar team on paper. Then the cracks start showing, but makes for great conversation and team building. For those of you that travel alot know, baseball is the one topic of conversation you can have with any stranger.
For those of you that never went to a baseball game, you should definitely do it. You can always get a last minute deal at Stubhub, you can even save some really good money if you go to a weekday game. Leave work early, take your son, hang out with a bud, even bring your wife/partner…. just go already. Nothing denotes spring like the start of the MLB season
Nothing Beats the Excitement of Live Hockey
I use to be a HUGE hockey fan. Then somewhere along the way (right around when the strike happened), I started losing interest in the sport. To the point where I couldnt name more than 4 players on any nhl team. Well, last night I got the chance to see the Devils and Flyers play. We had seats right behind the net about 10 rows back. For those of you that have never been to a live hockey game, its the one sport that provides the greatest gap between watching it on tv and seeing it live.
Regardless of which team you support, get out there and see a game. Bring your date, your dad, a friend…. just go.. you’ll def have a good time
World Cup Fever and David Beckham’s Injury
The World Cup is about 3 months away and the excitement is building. I never could figure out why soccer (aka football) is the top played sport by kids in the United States and dramatically drops as students get out of school. Goes to show you the importance of high caliber professional sports. Yet, when the World Cup comes around, the energy that it brings throughout the world can not be match by any sport.
David Beckham’s injury is an unfortunate event that will virtually destroy any chance England had to progress deep in the World Cup. David Beckham will miss the World Cup and most if not all the Galaxy season after tearing his left Achilles’ tendon Sunday while playing for AC Milan.
